Triple-digit temperatures are back in the desert – KESQ

For the second time this year, Palm Springs and Thermal have hit 100°+. Warmer afternoons will result in warmer nights, only getting cooler to the 80s after sundown. A ridge of high pressure is building up from the west and is helping in the warming conditions.

The hottest weekend of the year (so far) is ahead, with highs of up to 105°. Moving on to the month of May, there will be a rapid drop in temperatures with the arrival of a low pressure depression. Breezy conditions will begin Sunday night, with higher winds expected on Monday.
