Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have told Inter they are ready to part with transfer-listed Andre Onana this summer.
Onana joined Inter from Ajax last summer, but the Nerazzurri’s need to raise funds through player sales means he could leave a year after signing.
Clubs across Europe were being informed of Onana’s availability and that some were deliberating a summer move.
Sources have now told 90min that Chelsea and Spurs are willing to agree to a deal with Inter to sign the Cameroonian goalkeeper for a reduced fee, with both in the transfer market between the sticks.
The Blues have been watching Onana closely in recent months and see him as their ideal new number one. Chelsea would be willing to offer Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy to Inter in a partial swap deal, while they are in constant contact with Inter over the unresolved future of Romelu Lukaku.
Kepa and Mendy are available for transfer and are not in Chelsea’s long-term plans, even if their new manager, expected to be Mauricio Pochettino, likes them.
Tottenham have long admired Onana and are looking for a successor to Hugo Lloris, whose form has declined alarmingly and will turn 37 later this year.
previously reported on Spurs’ interest in the likes of Brentford’s David Raya and Porto’s Diogo Costa, although Onana could be the cheapest quality goalkeeper on the market this summer (90 minutes).
