The Texans trade with the Cardinals for the third overall pick, take Will Anderson Jr.

The Houston Texans finished with a 2-3 combination in the 2023 NFL draft on Thursday.

After selecting quarterback CJ Stroud out of Ohio State with the second overall pick, the Texans reached a deal with the Cardinals.

They used the third overall pick to select Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr.

That means a Crimson Tide player was first and third in the 2023 draft process.

Arizona acquired Houston’s second-round pick in the 2023 draft. They also get a first-round and third-round pick in 2024.
