The INEC uploads the results of the Guber and House of Representatives elections through BVAS

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has uploaded some of the results of Saturday’s elections through the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS.

The lack of use of BVAS for the February 25 elections created a crisis of confidence for the electoral body, which Nigerians and election officials strongly criticized.

DAILY POST noted that the result of Ward 001, Voting Unit 039, Yenagoa de Bayelsa Local Government Area, was uploaded via BVAS at around 1:58 pm

In the state House of Assembly election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) got six votes, while the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) got 13 votes.

Bayelsa is one of the few states where gubernatorial elections are held after the general elections.

INEC had said it was unable to upload election results from voting units during last month’s presidential and National Assembly elections due to glitches.
