A model has spoken out about the brutal realities of trying to make it in the industry, bursting into tears as she details the horrifying rejection and disappointment she’s faced ‘over and over again’.

Hayley Williams, 23, who is originally from the UK but moved to New York City to pursue her modeling dream, was thrilled when she came true about her struggle to break into the modeling business in a recent video from TikTok.

The 23-year-old, who is signed to Wilhelmina Models, explained that she hasn’t landed a modeling job in over four months, which means her savings are starting to ‘dry’.

While he said he didn’t want to “give up” on his dream, he added that “it feels impractical to keep chasing something that isn’t happening for you.”

“It feels so stupid to complain about this but I want to talk about the reality of pursuing a modeling career,” she began on TikTok, which has now been viewed more than 24,000 times.

While he said he didn’t want to “give up” on his dream, he added that “it feels impractical to keep chasing something that isn’t happening for you.”

‘It is an industry that has a lot of rejection. Being rejected and returned again and again…’ she stopped herself as she broke down in tears.

The aspiring model, who turns 24 next month, added that it only gets harder as she gets older, admitting she’s terrified her time is running out.

“I started modeling when I was 19 and now I’m 23, turning 24 in two months,” she continued.

‘It seems that time is running out. As I get older I always get put on hold for a job and then it fails. I haven’t had a serious job in four months.

Despite the difficulties, Hayley, who also works as a babysitter for extra income, said “there’s nothing else I want to do.”

“But there is an element of survival, you know, I need to earn enough money to live,” he added.

“I took a big risk to move to another country and live on my savings to try to pursue modeling.
