Protagonist Randeep Hooda as freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, as a director back on movie screens with a movie, “Swattandtra Veer Savarkar“. This film is Randeep’s first film as a director. So the story and the character of the film will not matter what Savarkar really was, is and what will happen. He was a freedom fighter and he cannot be forgotten.”
We inform you that earlier Mahesh Manjrekar was about to direct this film but due to commitments, he pulled out of the film, after which Randeep Hooda himself will direct the film.
The film is based on one of the Indian wrestling heroes, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Meanwhile, freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was born on May 28, 1883 in Bhagur village of Nashik district of Maharashtra. He was one of the leading figures in the Hindu Mahasabha, a Hindu nationalist organization and political party. He was a politician, activist and writer. He is known for developing the Hindu nationalist political ideology of Hindutva. Veer Savarkar died on February 26, 1966 in Bombay.
Apart from Randeep and Ankita Lokhande, the Swatantra film Veer Savarkar also stars Amit Sial, Ed Robbinson, Nick Nag, Apinderdeep Singh and others.
