Quiet weekend, windy on the road – KESQ

Stronger winds are forecast to return this week when a low pressure trough arrives on Monday. Conditions will be windy in the valley floor Monday night. Peak wind gusts will occur in areas more prone to winds, such as the San Gorgonio Pass, high desert, and mountain pass areas.

This low-pressure trough will also push daytime high temperatures into the upper 60s, which is below our seasonal average of 73°. Overnight lows will remain in the upper 40s.

Precipitation is also a possibility this coming week for areas west of the Coachella Valley. It is unlikely that we will see rain in the valley this week, but cloudy conditions can be expected.
