How to relearn moves on scarlet and violet pokemon it’s easier than ever. You no longer have to track down a special NPC and spend rare currency to inspire the old ones. Instead, you just open a menu and spend absolutely nothing.
How to relearn moves in Scarlet and Violet
You can make a Pokémon remember moves from its move summary page. Open the menu and choose one of the Pokémon in your party, or go to your boxes and choose the Pokémon you want. Access your summary and tilt the joystick to the right to switch from the overview page to the movement summary.
Then, press “A” to bring up a list of all the moves that Pokémon previously learned and have since forgotten. These may include egg movementslike in the image below, showing Tandemaus and Baby-Doll Eyes, a move they don’t normally learn by leveling up.
Note that you can only remember moves that the Pokemon has learned by leveling up or Egg Moves. You can’t remember the TM moves you chose to forget, and not all evolved Pokémon, including Raichu, can learn the moves their pre-evolved forms would have normally learned. And it goes without saying that you can’t relearn moves that the Pokemon hasn’t learned yet.
There’s no limit to the number of times you can relearn a move, and there’s also no cost, so you don’t need to budget for Heart Scales this time. You can also access the feature as soon as you get your first Pokemon. Their starter pokemon they’ll already know their Egg moves, but it’s worth checking any new Pokemon you catch to see if they used to know an ability that might be useful to remember.
