Passengers Pack Palm Springs International Airport As Thanksgiving Weekend Ends – KESQ

As Thanksgiving weekend draws to a close, several passengers return home.

Some passengers were flying home after enjoying Thanksgiving with family, while others were heading back to the Coachella Valley.

Palm Springs International Airport expects a record number of passengers traveling this holiday season.

Rows of cars in overflowing parking lots lined the airport entrance.

Although parking may have posed some challenges, people say this airport is one of the easiest to navigate during the holiday season.

“It was a very easy in-and-out airport to maneuver compared to the big ones we’ve been to, so it was good,” says Terra Redenbach.

All flights were running on time as crowds filled the check-in lines.

Earlier today, some sections of 1-10 East were beginning to see increased traffic.

If you are traveling tonight or tomorrow, please be patient and allow some extra time in case of delays.
