Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 9 series last month and it is expected to close out the year with new foldable phones. The Oppo Find N2 will succeed last year’s model, and along with it, the company will introduce a completely new foldable – the Oppo Find N2 Flip. The two devices will arrive this month and, according to a new report, they could appear on December 15.
Oppo Find N2 and N2 Flip will appear during Inno Day 2022
The company did not confirm the release date of these phones. However, one leaker points to December 14 as the date for Oppo Inno Day 2022. For those who don’t know, Inno Day is even where Oppo reveals some of its upcoming groundbreaking tech. A few years ago, the event was used to tease the roll-up phone. Last year, the company took advantage of the event to present the Oppo Find N. As a result, we hope that the 2022 edition will also serve as the stage for the Oppo Find N2 series. In fact, the new foldable phones will appear a day later, on December 15. It is a multi-day event.
In addition to the foldable phone, last year’s event also showcased a prototype phone with a retractable main camera. The company also used it to present the MariSilicon X NPU. So, in addition to the new Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip, we also expect new technologies to appear. We are also expecting some sort of teaser for the upcoming Oppo Find X6 series. Also, it would be great to see the rollable phone make an appearance again. The last time we saw the phone was in 2019/2020. Shortly after the presentation, the company laid out the challenges for developing phones like that on a large scale. LG developed one, but with its smartphone business bleeding, the device didn’t make it to customers. Now, reports suggest that Samsung is also working on such a development.
Naijaonpoint News of the week
Coming back to the point, the Oppo Find N2 is said to come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Flip, on the other hand, can use a Dimensity 9000 instead. According to Ice Universe, the new phone will be the lightest foldable on the market. The brand will use new materials to make the phone thinner. It will bring a 50 MP main camera, 48 MP ultra-wide angle and a 32 MP 2x telephoto lens. The Flip will have a simpler dual-camera setup. Both phones will bring Samsung E6 AMOLED screens – the Find N2 has two.
The Oppo Find N remained exclusive to the Chinese market. We can only hope that the new duo manage to escape abroad.
