It’s only been a few days since the current generation version of Obsidan the outer worlds, Spacer’s Choice Edition, was released. Was previously reported that the latest iteration of the sci-fi RPG was hit hard by performance issues, including low frame rates and poor visuals on console and PC, and Obsidian has now apologized for the state of the game.
writing in Reddit (through IGN), Obsidian’s Chris Stanick said a patch is currently in the works via the game’s publisher, Private Division.
“I’m sorry that everyone has had performance issues with The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. I understand how frustrating this can be and I assure you that the Private Division team is working to get a patch out as soon as possible. When we have more information on that patch, we’ll be sure to let people know.”
Towards the end of his post, Obsidian links to a Private Division Support Pagewhere you can submit any issues you may encounter while playing The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
Spacer’s Choice Edition’s problems are harder to swallow because it wasn’t a free upgrade for existing players: those who already own the game must pay another $10 to get the new version.
