Martin Roberts has announced the death of his father Norman in an emotional video he shared on Thursday.
The Homes Under The Hammer presenter, 59, choked back tears in the heartbreaking clip as he expressed his sadness over the death of his father.
The presenter said that his father’s death was a “private thing” but that he wanted to share the news to have as many people around him.
He said: ‘So I don’t know if I should really post this video or not, but I guess people deal with things in different ways.
“This is a very private thing, but I need to surround myself with as many people as I can who care right now.

‘My dad died yesterday. He was 90 years old and he had a great life and he died peacefully, he died at his house and he wasn’t in pain, so that’s great, but no… well, it helps, but it doesn’t help. right now.
Martin said he felt “lonely” and sought support from his followers on social media.
He added: “The loss of a parent is something we all have to deal with and there are much worse losses I know of, the loss of a child and things like that.”
But right now I feel really lonely and horrible. So any words you have would be appreciated.
“I don’t even know if I’ll post this but…anyway,” she said, taking a deep breath before adding, “Thanks for being there anyway.”
Martin was inundated with heartfelt messages of support from his fans, with one writing: “So sorry for your loss Martin, sending you so much love.”
Another said: ‘Sorry to hear this. Losing a parent is a big change in your own sense of identity xx send hugs’.
A third user wrote: “Sorry for your loss Martin, sorry for your pain.”

Last year, Martin revealed that he feels he has been given a “second chance at life” following his near-death health issue earlier this year when his heart, kidney and liver failed.
The presenter was hospitalized in April 2022 with chest pains that he confused with prolonged Covid, but learned that he had a pericardial effusion, which is an accumulation of fluid in the structure around the heart.
He had to undergo emergency surgery and now he has thanked the incredible medical team without whom he “would not be here.”
Martin said: “This is a very private thing, but I need to surround myself with as many people as I can who care at the moment.”

He said Sun: ‘My heart was failing, my kidneys and liver were working at 30 per cent and my lungs were getting weak. It should have been on the scrap heap, so little inside of me was working as it should.
It all seemed to happen so fast that I didn’t have time to panic. There was a whole team that saved my life.
“I remember asking the surgeon if he had ever killed someone doing that procedure and he said he had a clean sheet and he had no intention of changing that with me.
‘They saved my life and I will never be able to repay them. From janitors and cleaners to surgeons, each and every one of them deserves this nomination. They gave me a second chance and I’m not going to waste it.
