A man was shot and wounded during an attempted robbery of his car keys in St. Anthony Tuesday night.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to St. Anthony.
Police were called to a shooting in the Walgreens parking lot at 3700 Silver Lake Road on Tuesday at 8:55 p.m. Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The man reported that he had just parked and was still in the vehicle when a man approached and asked for his keys. While trying to catch them, the suspect opened the driver’s door and fired a single shot at the driver, according to police. The victim ran into the Walgreens and the suspect fled.
Police found a firearm at the scene. They are investigating and asked anyone with information to call police at 612-782-3350 or dispatch at 952-258-5321.
