Magic’s Mo Bamba expected to be available vs. Clippers after playing 5 games

Orlando Magic Big man Mo Bamba is expected to be available for Wednesday’s home game against the Los Angeles Clippers after being sidelined for a week and a half.

He was taken off the team’s injury report, with coach Jamahl Mosley saying Bamba practiced Tuesday afternoon.

Bamba has missed five games with back pain/spasms, most recently in a Nov. 27 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers when he left the game after playing 12 minutes with back issues.

He started five of six games in place of the injured Wendell Carter Jr. before being sidelined, averaging 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 26.4 minutes.

Bamba averaged 8.2 points and 4.5 rebounds in 18.7 minutes (19 games – five starts) on the season.

Carter (right plantar fascia strain), Gary Harris (right hamstring strain), Jonathan Isaac (left knee injury recovery), Chuma Okeke (left knee soreness) and Jalen Suggs (right ankle soreness) will sit out Wednesday.
