law cockroach said one of the celebrities he styled for Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party was unable to walk the red carpet due to a wardrobe malfunction.

Roach shared the behind-the-scenes details in a series of tweets on Friday. The renowned fashion stylist styled six celebrities for the event, including Kerry Washington, Hunter Schafer, Hailee Steinfeld, Eve Jobs and Megan Thee Stallion, but one did not make it to the red carpet.

“I really wish you could see the sixth look I did for VF.” Cockroach wrote. She continued, adding that there was “so much going on” that she couldn’t share about it. “My last client didn’t do the rug,” she wrote.

He continued: “Her vintage Galliano dress got stuck in the car door and ripped completely and exposed the feminine parts.”

Roach did not clarify which celebrity he was referring to, but told his 59,000 Twitter followers that he calls the women he did his hair for the Vanity Fair Oscars party his “last five.”

“Very grateful to all of them,” he added.

Tuesday, cockroach shocked her fans by announcing her retirement from the style in a now-deleted Instagram post. entertainment account pop base shared screenshots at that time.

“If this business was just for clothes, I would do it for the rest of my life, but unfortunately it’s not,” Roach wrote. “The politics, the lies and the false narratives finally got me. You win… I’m out.”

In a statement to Insider, Roach said he was moving away from celebrity looks to focus on himself.

“For me, fashion has always been a love, not a job. I have spent a lot of time and energy nurturing this love and it has become my way of communicating with the world,” Roach said. “I don’t plan on walking away completely, I’m just going to take some time to get away from the celebrity look and focus on myself for the first time in almost a decade.”

On Friday, he clarified to fans that his retirement did not mean he was “breaking up” with Zendayayour lifelong partner.

“So you guys really think I’m breaking up with Z… we’re forever,” he said. tweeted. “She’s my little sister and she’s real love, not the fake love of the industry.”

In February, Roach told Insider’s Amanda Krause that “Style is like a drug to me when I know I’m doing it right.”

“Whoever they’re dressing, when they have that little extra thing, a little sparkle or a little movement in the way they walk, I love that feeling.”
