The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa has been declared the winner of Saturday’s House of Assembly elections held in Agege Constituency 1.
Obasa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 17,214 votes to defeat his closest rival, Raheem Rasaki Alabi of the Labor Party (LP), who polled 3,933 votes to finish second, while the Democratic Party candidate from Los Pueblos (PDP) came third with 1,609 votes.
ADC candidate Kafayat Morenikeji came in fourth with 62 votes, while SDP’s Olubunmi Michael got 55 votes and ADP’s Odusami Oladipupo got 51 votes.
According to the INEC Scrutiny Officer, “APC’s Obasa Mudashiru, having complied with the requirement of law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected.”
With his victory, Brother Obasa is elected as the legislator representing Agege Constituency 1 for the sixth time.
