King Charles III shared a rare photo of himself and his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, for Mother’s Day in the UK via the Instagram account of the royal family.

The photo shows a smiling baby, King Charles, standing on Queen Elizabeth’s lap.

“To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may miss their mothers today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #Mother’sDay,” the caption read.

A second photo on the Instagram carousel showed Queen Camilla with her mother, Rosalind Shand. Shand died of osteoporosis, a bone disease, in 1994.

“Watching someone you love die slowly, in agony, and not knowing anything about the disease that killed them is heartbreaking,” Camilla wrote of her mother’s death in a 2011 article for the Daily Mail.
