Kim Kardashian Says She’s “Disgusted” By Balenciaga’s Christmas Ad Campaign That Has Been Accused Of Sexualizing Minors

Kim Kardashian told fans she was “disgusted and outraged” by a Balenciaga’s Christmas ad campaign Accused of sexualizing minors.

Kardashian shared her thoughts on Twitter on Sunday, saying she held back from making a statement to “understand” how the campaign happened in the first place.

“As a mother of four children, I have been shocked by the disturbing images,” Kardashian wrote. “Children’s safety must be given the highest consideration and any attempt to normalize child abuse of any kind must have no place in our society, period.”

The Skims founder also said she was grateful the ad was pulled, but was currently “re-evaluating” her relationship with the company.

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently reassessing my relationship with the brand, basing it on their willingness to accept responsibility for something that should never have happened to begin with, and the actions I hope to see them take to protect children. “Kardashian wrote.

Balenciaga apologized and removed social media announcements tuesday following the reaction. The ads featured a boy holding a teddy bear in bondage clothing, as well as a document from a Supreme Court ruling on images of child sexual abuse.

The company also filed a $25 million lawsuit. against the production company North Six, Inc. and set designer Nicholas Des Jardins for including the Supreme Court documents in the ad.

After Balenciaga’s apology, fans had been pushing Kardashian on Instagram to make a statement, considering his past relationships with the luxury brand. He has previously appeared in advertisements for Balenciaga and wears the brand on red carpets.
