TOKYO (AP) — Honda is preparing for a shift to electrification in North America with two models developed with General Motors due to go on sale next year and a larger electric vehicle with a new platform in 2025, a year before what was initially announced. Chairman Toshihiro Mibe outlined a broad set of initiatives aimed at putting Honda on the world map for electric vehicles. In China, the world’s largest EV market, Honda aims to be 100% electric by 2035, ahead of other regions. Honda’s goal is to have all of its models electric or fuel cell by 2040, producing more than 2 million electric vehicles a year by 2030.
