The Paws & Claws update is the perfect complement to Core Keeper, adding a new level of excitement and immersion to the already engaging gameplay. With the introduction of companion animals and a new sub-biome, players can expect hours of gameplay and exploration. If you need help figuring out how to get the Curious Egg in Core Keeper, we’ve got a detailed guide!
How to get a curious egg in Core Keeper
To get the Curious Egg, you will need to purchase it for 375 coins from the Slime Merchant, which you will find shortly after defeating Glurch the Abominous Mass in the early part of the game. The Curious Egg is described as a “curly-tailed mystery egg that seems to react to your presence.”
Once you place the Curious Egg in the Incubator, it will hatch into a Cracked Curious Egg, which will then hatch into an Embertail. The Embertail is described as, “spontaneous and impulsive by nature, this pet is as fierce in battle as it is at clawing at furniture. But also incredibly cute.” He is modeled after a real life cat and has a “fiery ranged attack”, while his eyes give you a +2 glow, which helps when dealing with Cavelings.
Remember, to hatch any of the eggs found in the world, you’ll need to craft the Copper Workbench (you can at the Wood Workbench), which was added in this update, so you can craft the Incubator later. You will have to be patient before your egg hatches in your incubator!
As you level up your pet, either by bringing it into battle with you or by giving it pet treats, you will be able to gain different benefits for your pet. You can opt for different benefits or a different combination of benefits to get the most out of your partner.
