She holds the crown as Australia’s longest-serving actress in the same role, but veteran star Lynne McGranger has revealed how she plans to leave Home and Away.
The actress, who has played Irene Roberts on the iconic soap opera for 30 years, has detailed how she would like to come out of the soap opera, and she hopes to do it with a bang.
While she has stolen the hearts of the nation with her portrayal of the mother figure, Lynne, 70, wants her exit from the show to be dramatic.
“I want to go with the biggest bang, the most dramatic exit,” he said. things.co.nz.
‘I want to get lost at sea, or I want to die a really long and sad death with everyone crying and wailing around me.
“Or Irene could get lost at sea and never find the body, have the funeral and everything and then walk back to the city.”

When asked about her heroes in life, Lynne said there are so many, but she said one has to be Johnny Ruffo, who played Chris Harrington on Home And Away.
The actor is currently battling a terminal cancer diagnosis, and just a few days ago he celebrated his 35th birthday.

Lynn said that Johnny, who was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, is her hero.
She posted a photo to her Instagram celebrating the big day just days after starting a new round of chemotherapy.
