‘He’ll always make a mistake’: Pundit points to £27m Arsenal ace as weak link against Man City – Thelocalreport.in

Pundit Nigel Reo-Coker has said Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes could make a mistake against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The 27 million pounds (sky sports) man, who has been largely impressive this season, has been criticized by fans and pundits for having a mistake in him.

Pundit Nigel Reo-Coker has done the same, as he hopes Gabriel can make a mistake for Arsenal in their highly anticipated clash against Manchester City.

The Brazilian central defender is coming off a disappointing outing against City, having lost Theo Walcott for his goal in his side’s 3-3 draw against Southampton.

Also in the recent 2-2 draw against West Ham United, the 25-year-old made a mistake diving for a tackle inside the box which netted the opposition a penalty.

As Arsenal prepare to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, pundit Nigel Reo-Coker does not have high hopes for Gabriel.

“I’m going to say this now, if I were a captain and I was still playing in this league and in this game, and I had a decent striker, do you know what I would say to my striker?”

“Play with Gabriel. He is going to make a mistake, he is going to do something that will give you a chance, ”said the expert about Gabriel as he anticipated the clash between Manchester City and Arsenal in CBS Sports House of Champions Podcast.

“He always makes a mistake in the 90 minutes or lets someone in. Gabriel is still too hasty, he doesn’t play at a calm level, he’s still too emotionally invested in every game he plays.”

While there’s no denying that Gabriel has a tendency to be reckless, it seems harsh that pundit Nigel Reo-Coker singled him out as Arsenal’s weak link ahead of their matchup against Manchester City.

The former Lille defender has been largely reliable for his team at the back and hasn’t been mistake-prone enough to be synonymous with howlers in every game he plays.
