The state has 17 local government areas and 2.1 million registered voters.
The leading candidates for governor are Peter Mbah of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chijioke Edoga of the Labor Party, LP, and Frank Nweke Junior of the Grand Alliance of All Progressives, APGA.
