The flight attendant, Yasser Saleh, died of a heart attack while working on a flight of bahrain a Paris Charles de Gaulle.

The Gulf Air flight attendant was confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital Tuesday morning. Saleh was part of the cabin crew of Flight GF 19 which left Bahrain at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday. It was an hour and a half into the flight while flying over Iraq that the attendant suffered a heart attack.
The flight made an emergency landing in the Iraqi city of Erbil, unfortunately it was too late for Saleh.
Gulf Air sends its condolences
“The national airline expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the crew member, and confirms that the flight has resumed to Paris as scheduled,” the Gulf Air spokesperson said.
“Gulf Air ensures that the safety of its passengers and crew is one of its highest priorities, and thanks the passengers on the affected flight for their patience and understanding,” the statement continued.
Protocols for Medical Emergencies
The plane was on the ground for three hours before leaving again for Paris. Together with the same crew members of the original flight.
An in-flight heart attack is grounds for an immediate emergency landing at an airport with adequate response personnel and facilities. Flight attendants are also trained to provide medical support during emergencies, and most airlines have access to medical professionals via satellite phones.
