Drake celebrated the 47th birthday of longtime collaborator and friend DJ Khaled with the gift of high-end hygiene.
Khaled took to Instagram on Saturday to show off his new toto toilets gifted by rapper “Rich Flex” himself. “Listen, this is not a normal toilet,” Khaled explained in a video before showing off the luxury item. “My brother Drake just bought me and my family four big toilets. This is called a Toto toilet.”
Although Khaled did not say specifically which model he received, the box behind the musician in the video clip reads “Neorest,” a luxury Toto model with prices ranging from $5,598 to $20,172. on the company website.
Khaled asked his chef Melissa Zuniga to list the wide range of product features.
“It has an ultraviolet light cleaning system,” he said off camera. “It’s remote controlled. Um, it’s automatic, the toilet seat can be opened and closed.” He also highlighted the heated bowl seats, automatic air purification system, night light, and automatic tornado discharge, among other perks.
“This could be the best gift of all, like a real conversation,” Khaled said.
Drake has an eye for the home and interior design. The May 2020 cover of architectural compendium highlighted the huge house of the Canadian star in Toronto.
Khaled can attest to Drake’s taste in decor, including the bathrooms. “If you’ve ever been in Drake’s house, his toilets are amazing,” Khaled said in the Instagram video.
Khaled also noted that he and his wife Nicole Tuck had discussed upgrading their bathrooms before receiving Drake’s gift.
“I’m not even kidding Drake, we wanted this. My queen and I have been talking about getting Totos for the whole house,” Khaled continued in the video.
Throughout their extensive careers, Drake and Khaled have worked together on several hit songs, including 2013’s “No New Friends,” 2017’s “I’m on One,” and 2021’s “Popstar.” their close friendship in the viral music video “Popstar,” which also stars Justin Bieber.
