- David Dobrik is revving up his business engine after the successful launch of Doughbriks.

In the middle of last month crowded opening from his Los Angeles pizzeria Doughbriks, controversial vlogger David Dobrik continues to engineer a commercial comeback. And he pretends to do it with a toy gun that shoots glow-in-the-dark gel beads.
Dobrik announced the $70 device, seemingly the bane of parents everywhere, given its propensity for furniture splashes and eye injuries. On Instagram on Tuesday.
“I did a TikTok for Gel Blaster, and now they finally sent me a custom package,” Dobrik said in his Instagram video while revealing his toy gun collaboration with the company. He then turns off the lights in his living room as his friends get into a shootout.
Gel Blaster is a company known for creating paintball-style guns that use water-based “gellets.” The Gel Blaster company says that all guns come with safety glasses, and claims that its water pellets disintegrate on impact with a biodegradable formula that’s easy to clean. While Dobrik remains somewhat active on Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok, his main YouTube channel has been down for months due to a series of scandals last year.
In March 2021, Insider published a research in the sexual assault allegations against fellow YouTuber Dominykas Zeglaitis, where the alleged incident occurred during a night when Dobrik was shooting footage for his own channel. The victim said that Zeglaitis and Dobrik supplied her and her friends with large amounts of alcohol, and that she was too incapacitated to consent to sexual intercourse.
Earlier this year, another former Vlog Squad member jeff wittek sued Dobrik over a video stunt that resulted in serious eye injuries.
But in recent months, the 26-year-old influencer seems to be revving up his business engine. Two weeks ago, Dobrik announced a collaboration with Marvel to $40 candles inspired by the publisher’s lore of Infinity Gems, powerful artifacts that allow users to control different aspects of the universe, such as time and space.
Forbes reported in august that Dobrik is a partner in two other start-up businesses: Happy Hour Tequila Seltzer and Xeela Fitness, and a line of health supplements that he co-founded with childhood friend Ilya Fedorovich.
