Belgium They have confirmed their starting eleven to face Morocco in the World Cup in Qatar and the fans are not happy.
belgium got its FIFA World Cup 2022 got off to a winning start, beating Canada 1-0 last week. They will now look to pick up two wins from two games when they play their second group game of the tournament today (27 November).
The Red Devils are ready to take on Morocco at the Al Thumama stadium in Qatar. A win over the African nation would see them book their place in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.
Less than an hour before kick-off, Belgium has announced its starting eleven for the match. Roberto Martínez has notably made three changes to the team that beat Canada in its first game.
Leander Dendoncker has been relegated to the bench, with Thomas Meunier taking his place in the three-man defence. For his part, Thorgan Hazard has taken the place of Yannick Carrasco on the left side of the midfield.
Everton’s Amadou Onana will play alongside Axel Witsel in a double pivot in midfield. It’s worth noting that it’s Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans who has made way for the Everton man.
Meanwhile, Martínez has relied on veterans Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen by naming them again in his first XI. Michy Batshuayi has also retained his position after scoring the winner against Canada.
The Spanish tactician is confident that his preferred starting XI will get the job done against Morocco. However, it seems that the fans are not on board with some of his decisions, including the names of Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Batshuayi in the first XI. One fan wrote on Twitter:

Morocco comes into their match against Belgium after a 0-0 draw with Croatia in their opener. Therefore, they will be determined to get their first victory of the 2022 FIFA World Cup today.
However, Walid Regragui has decided not to make any changes to the team that drew against Croatia. The Moroccan tactician relied on the same group of 11 players to surprise the Red Devils.
There were concerns about the fitness of Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui after the last match. However, the full-back duo has passed in a position to start against Martínez and company today.
