Former two division world champion Aung La N Sang has been preparing for a potential fight with China’s Fan Rong for some time now. He feels that he has explored it enough to be ready for the crash scheduled for later this year.
The two wrestlers had gotten into a fight twice before, both of which failed for various reasons. Now they’re ready to clash at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Colorado, USA.
Having studied his opponent in the past, aung la he feels he has a better understanding of what Fan Rong will bring on fight night, but he knows full well not to underestimate him.
“The Burmese Python” shared with SCMP MMA in an interview:
“I was supposed to fight him, then they changed that to Leandro. [Ataides] and then you know, the last fight, they traded it to my last opponent, so I’ve already studied it twice, but it is what it is. I look forward to the best Fan Rong. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so with that being said, I hope for the best Fan Rong and we are going to put on a show.”

aung lawho once held the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world titles simultaneously, last fought in January, where he defeated Brazilian Gilberto Galvao by TKO in the first round.
Meanwhile, his opponent, “King Kong Warrior” Fan Rong, will be looking to bounce back after absorbing a loss in his previous fight.
ONE Fight Night 10 is ONE’s first live event in the United States. It happens at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The event will be streamed live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Aung La N Sang Reveals What He Thinks Makes ONE Championship Fights Exciting For American Fans
Burmese-American wrestler Aung La N Sang is excited for ONE Championship’s initial foray into the United States later this year and hopes he does well in his drive.
The former world middleweight and light heavyweight champion believes the promotion delivers action-packed, end-to-end fights that suit the taste of American fans.
aung la shared with ONE Championship:
“ONE Championship is exciting because it forces the fighters to work until the end. We have yellow cards, no other promotion has yellow cards, and our fights are not rated 10-9 rounds. He is booked for the entirety of the fight. It sure makes it more interesting. And the [Muay] The Thais are aggressive guys, they’re always looking for shots.”
Adding:
“American fans are in luck. The whole card, I don’t watch boring fights at all. It’s going to be a great show for sure.”
ONE will hold their first live event in the US on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado. It will be headlined by a trilogy fight between ONE World Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson and former division king Adriano Moraes.
aung la it is also part of the innovative American fair, which will take place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. He will clash with China’s Fan Rong in a middleweight bout.
Other ONE Superstars announced to compete at ONE Fight Night 10 include Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Mikey Musumeci, Stamp Fairtex, Roberto Soldic, Sage Northcutt, Reinier de Ridder, Tye Ruotolo, Kairat Akhmetov, and Jackie Buntan.
