Atiku rates INEC low in the conduct of Guber surveys

PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar says he has lost confidence in the INEC Independent National Election Commission over conducting the 2023 general election.

Mr. Abubakar expressed his sentiments at his polling unit Ajiya 012, Yola, Adamawa, when he and his wife, Titi, cast their ballots in the gubernatorial and state assembly elections on Saturday.

He said he was skeptical and did not expect anything positive from the election result, claiming that INEC had “refused” to improve previous problems registered during the presidential elections.

However, the former vice president called on Nigerians to come out in droves to vote for the candidates of their choice, adding: “We pray for the best in this nation.”

Mr. Abubakar cast his ballot at around 11:35 a.m.

Abubakar and his party rejected the February 25 presidential election citing widespread irregularities and INEC’s refusal to upload the results to its server in real time.
