Anambra is the home of Atiku Abubakar. In addition to being our father-in-law and having children whose maternal home is Onitsha, he has for years shown love and concern for our beloved state. We can recall that in 2007, Atiku Abubakar, as the candidate of the defunct ACN, chose Senator Ben Ndi Obi of Awka as his running mate. In 2019, he again single-handedly picked Peter Obi as his running mate, even though he is not the choice of many PDP leaders. Anambra is the home of Atiku and he is one of us, we must recognize that and express love for him every time he comes to the state.
There is no better way to honor him than to declare a day off work “voluntary” as resolved by PDP stalwarts and ardent supporters of the Atiku-Okowa ticket in Anambra State.
We hope that Anambra will empty out at the headquarters of the campaign rally in Awka and we reiterate our organic support for Atiku and the PDP; Without a doubt, Anambra has always been a stronghold of the PDP, and we will demonstrate that to the nation on December 15 and ultimately ensure that the PDP wins every seat in the state, from the presidency to the least contested seat.
Among the many Federation states that will give a majority vote to the PDP and Atiku Abubakar in 2023, Anambra will take the lead and ensure that we are not left out in the task of rescuing and reclaiming Nigeria. We hope that the campaign act will serve as a prelude to the general elections in February of next year, he concluded.
