2023: APC political bandits seized Buhari from Nigerians, SDP alleges

The Social Democratic Party, SDP, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of targeting Prince Adebayo Adewole, its presidential candidate (SDP) for the 2023 elections.

Addressing reporters in Abuja on Friday, SDP Presidential Campaign Council Director General and former minister Solomon Dalung also described President Muhammadu Buhari as the number one kidnapping victim because Nigerians can no longer have access to their president.

The SDP, which is one of the oldest political parties in the country, also urged Nigerians to vote for integrity and determined leadership in 2023.

The SDP warned of an alleged attempt to intimidate other presidential candidates who do not belong to the main political parties and who are making waves with issue-based campaigns.

Dalung, who was minister of sports and youth development in President Buhari’s first term, lamented that the ruling party is currently generating documents and trying to use the police to intimidate Adebayo.

The former minister said his party was finalizing plans to file legal action against the APC, warning the Buhari-led administration against any move to truncate the transition of power in 2023.

He also called on Chairman Buhari to stop narrowing political space to favor the APC, insisting that any favors the presidency does the APC chairman, such as the use of presidential plane for campaign purposes, should also be extended to all. the other candidates.

”The days of hypocrisy and false promises are gone. SDP has volunteered for scrutiny. Others should also come out and face the Nigerians. 2023 is too critical for the unity of this country. Nigerians cannot make that mistake again,” she said.

Speaking further, the minister said: “The president, today he is the number one kidnapping victim because Nigerians cannot see him.

“The man who was available during the campaign and shaking hands and dancing with Nigerians, today they are all victims of kidnapping, political bandits have kidnapped them.

“You can’t see or access them, people pay a ransom to see them. That’s not the presidency we’re looking for.”
